Kilauea Lighthouse

A bright beacon on the north shore of Kauai, the recently restored Kilauea Lighthouse draws many visitors for it's picturesque setting and location in a bird sanctuary.  I chose to set the lighthouse against a beautiful blue sky on a breezy day.  The dramatic shadows and the color contrast of bright white against the blue inspired me to capture the moment in paint.
