Nene

The Nene is an endangered species.  I am lucky to have several Nene who frequent my neighborhood, as they are such a pleasure to watch.   They are sweet birds, trusting and naive and so very vulnerable.  Like the Canadian Geese, they mate for life and are very loyal to their family group.
